Virtual Estimator - Masonry/Concrete

Location: Remote (Serving Los Angeles-area projects)

Business: Ultimate Staffing Services

Compensation: $75,000 base salary + discretionary quarterly bonus

Role Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced Virtual Estimator to support a high-volume masonry operation in the Los Angeles market. This remote, client-facing role blends technical construction expertise with a consultative, soft-sales approach. The estimator serves as the first point of contact for prospective clients-reviewing project details virtually, providing preliminary guidance, and confidently moving clients toward an on-site evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual consultations via video, phone, or digital platforms with residential and commercial clients.
• Review submitted photos, videos, and project information to define scope and feasibility.
• Apply strong masonry and construction knowledge to provide preliminary pricing ranges and timelines.
• Educate clients on project options, materials, and the value of an on-site visit.
• Use a consultative sales approach to build trust and schedule qualified on-site appointments.
• Document consultation details, client notes, and outcomes in CRM or tracking systems.
• Coordinate effectively with in-field estimators and operations teams to ensure smooth handoffs.

Required Qualifications

• Strong, hands-on knowledge of masonry and related construction work (block, brick, stone, concrete, pavers, retaining walls, etc.).
• Experience translating visual project information into accurate scope assessments.
• Confident, professional communicator comfortable in a client-facing, virtual environment.
• Proven ability to guide conversations toward next steps without high-pressure sales tactics.
• Highly organized, self-directed, and effective working remotely.
• Proficiency with video conferencing tools and basic office/CRM software.

Preferred Experience

• Background in masonry or construction estimating, project management, or field supervision.
• Experience in sales, client consultation, or lead conversion within the trades.
• Familiarity with CRM or estimating platforms.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Work Environment

• Fully remote position requiring a reliable internet connection and professional, camera-ready setup.
• Regular collaboration with estimating and sales teams during business hours.

Work Hours

Monday to Friday, during standard business hours.
